Royal Flamboyant

The Poinciana Regia is a species of flowering plant in the bean family Fabaceae. Native to Madagascar it is found all over Southeast Asia as an ornamental tree, in English it is given the name Royal Poinciana. This image was originally published in Belgium in the year 1863 by Berthe van Nooten, as one of a series of forty Southeast Asian botanical lithographs depicting fruits and flowers.
