SGD 48.80

Vintage luggage label issued for the Raffles Hotel around the year 1900. The colonial-style hotel is one of Singapore's best known icons. In September 1887, a short article in the local press announced the intention of the Sarkies Brothers, proprietors of the Eastern & Oriental in Penang, to open a hotel in Singapore and name it after Singapore's founder Sir Stamford Raffles. Today the Raffles Hotel is a colonial-style luxury hotel in the Downtown Core district of Singapore.
